Thornvale is ideally situated to very easily explore the many fine attractions that the Garden County of Ireland has to offer. Among the most popular attractions are Glendalough, an early Christian monastic site which was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th Century. It truly is a spellbinding and inspiring place to visit.

Powerscourt which is widely known to be one of the World's Great Gardens is a sublime blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statuary and ornamental lakes together with secret hollows, rambling walks and over 200 varieties of trees and shrubs. The 18th Century Palladian House now incorporates an innovative shopping experience, terrace cafe and house exhibition. Facilities include speciality shops, interiors gallery, garden pavilion and 18-hole golf course.

A mere two minute drive brings you to the widely known and praised National Garden Exhibition Centre where you can stroll through the beautifully laid out and interesting gardens.

Golfing

Wicklow boasts an excellent array of fine championship Golf Courses and Thornvale is ideally situated to offer its visitor an abundance of choice. Its closest courses are Druids Glen , Delgany and Glen of the Downs which are all just 5 minutes by car. A little further afield are many more clubs to suit varied requirements.
